Entree, JH De Branding (BX.Start), 96 & Growfunding have joined forces during the summer of 2023. Together they have organized 5 events at The house of Growfunding. Each event began with an open deck where beginning Dj’s could practice, record sets, take press pics and seek advice in a professional setting. A document was developed with information on legal options to get paid as a Dj. This info was compiled with help through conversations with VI.BE and Cultuurloket. 96 resident WhiteWash gave the performing artists a workshop about this info. But for full details, we recommend seeking advice from VI.BE or Cultuurloket. We would have liked to know this info as a beginner so we want to share this with beginning Dj’s. On the 96 VI.BE page an opportunity to perform was launched throughout the summer for the different events. After all this, we selected Dj’s to fill the evenings with grooves while the sun sets. After the summer, it was decided to continue with the concept and plan new editions that will continue with play opportunities, an educational component (workshops, talks, ...) and meeting between audience and artists among themselves.
